235/45/17, as the 245/45 is not common. I think some used 245/40 but it is a smaller diameter, and increases weel gap while reducing ground clearance.
The correct size is 245/40zr17 they came oem in bridgestone re71 or Pirelli Pzero. i just checked my car and the owners booklets to confirm
Missed your post. Both are correct, depending on what brand of tire. There were 4 original choices: - Pirelli P-Zero - Goodyear Eagle GS-A - Michelin MXX - Bridgestone RE-71s In recent times add other choices such as Dunlop SP Sport 8000 which is what I have on mine. 235/45 ZR 17 on the fronts, tracks straight and true.
Interesting fact the 91's and 92's use the 4 brands Mr sackey has presented. The 1990's only use the 2 i have described.
The owner's booklet you used as your source is simply incomplete. Typical Ferrari. 1990s used the other tires also.
Joe a friend and the guy who was head of Special Projects at PF on P 4/5 and is Head of P 4/5 Competizione was a tire tester for Goodyear on the F 40. He has some great stories. Maybe next Monterey I can put us together.
