Darn! I was outbid bigtime! I was stationed at Camp New Amsterdam during the mid 80's and received an F-15 ride while on temporary duty to Sardinia, Italy. Our flight/mission that day was a live-fire on an aerial target which is as close to a dogfight one can get during peacetime. Hit the dart twice too! Anyway, it would have been nice to buy this scarf to keep as a memento of that time. Without looking it up I have no idea what that squadron is up to these days but it might be worth writing a letter. We get letters occasionally asking for patches or whatever and normally try to hook people up. A couple weeks ago a letter came from Holland, if I remember correctly it was from a guy who was a kid during WW II and had some pictures of our planes (C-47s during WW II) and was trying to put together a display or something.

I have been collecting old Fighter and Attack Squadron patches, for years. I collect from 1941-1975. It takes a lot of work, to find something from 35+ years ago. I have an old 32nd FIS patch, with the crowned sloppin Wolfhound, from when the squadron flew the Deuce. Wade, Good luck finding the scarf.
