my 2008 m3 has a usb hook-up for music and i have been using my ipod thus far but the speed from song to song is a bit slow. somone mentioned i can use a usb flash drive and it would work faster. my question is how do i create playlists? will itunes burn the playlists to a usb drive or is there a different program out there?

Hm, that's a good question. I have a JVC deck in one of my cars and use a simple little Sandisk USB drive that holds my music. It allows me to browse individual folders with songs but I haven't actually setup a playlist per se. Have you tried playing an ITunes playlist from the USB drive?

My guess is that the player will play the files in alphabetical order.

So copy your files over to the flash drive then rename them:
    01 - song a
    02 - song b
    03 - song c
    etc.

Edit in case I wasn't clear: rename the first song you want to play to 01 - song title then the 2nd then the 3rd etc.
