O.K. I know it is a long shot (to say the least) but Go Fresno! David and Goliath match up. I graduated from Fresno State, yea, I know, but I'm still the CEO and my partners are both Stanford MBA's. Pat Hill has produced a fine team but anything within 14 points to me will be a win. Nothing against USC they are an amazing team but for us lowly cow folk here in Fresno, this is the big time. :)

If you can hurt Leinert and get him out of the game early, USC may go all run. Keep it close into the 4th quarter and hope for a fumble or interception. I can not see Fresno putting 18 points up against the USC defense, so a low scoring affair is your only hope IMO.

USC is the best team I've seen since the 72(I think it was 72) Nebraska team. We are lucky to be in the stadium, anything within 14 points is a win for Fresno.

Maybe Fresno but USC? Maybe not. I'm still going to watch and cheer for Fresno tomorrow night! It just may be in vein however. I gotta be a realist.

I've been following Fresno for a long, long time. I remember a few years ago, when they beat USC & Trojans treated it like "ah, it was just a minor bowl game." Yeah, sure.

But, though in Top 20 Countdown, the 'Dogs lost against Oregon & had a tough win against Hawaii - whom USC trounced.

Incidentally, with a win, USC will tie '73-'75 Oklahoma team for longest winning streak against ranked opponents. So, they'll have a little extra motivation going in, unless they're collectively more concerned about UCLA - who are higher ranked than the 'Dogs, let alone true rivals.

I have a feeling that even if it's heart-stopping close, the Top 20 Countdown for the 'Dogs will be over. If they get *****-slapped, it'll be over and out, though if they win the rest of their games - they can still make a minor bowl.

If 'Dogs win... they'll rocket up, but not to the top. After all, they're kind of the Rodney Dangerfield of College Football.

Good analysis. I agree that if they win, again a very long shot, they will move up to around #6-8. Hawaii is always a tough game on the island. It really wasn't that close though. However, on the Oregon game Fresno did get some really bad calls which changed the outcome. I'm not usually one to think refs change the outcome but in this game, there were some pretty bad pass interference calls which benefited Oregon. Even with that said and if they had won the Oregon game, USC is something entirely different. USC will need to be off their game and looking past Fresno for the Dogs to have a chance. Maybe today will be the day! I just hope it's entertaining for us here in the Fresno area. :)

I'm a big Trojan fan but Fresno deserves a lot of credit, they played a great game.

Carroll and Leinert seem to always find a way to do whatever it takes to win but it seems Fresno does that almost as well.

The BCS is full of it but I think a loss like that ought to increase their standing.

On that run where Bush stopped and then took off in another direction at full speed was a classic. I've never seen that before and I played 13 years of football including division 1.
