    Hello from Germany,

    since there is some discussion in the 308/328 section about picture quality here on FChat and Rob insists on 800 pixels resolution being good enough for mobile devices, I would be interested how FChat-users actually use this site. You can only tick two answers. Please chose, where you enjoy FChat the most.
    I mainly use Ipad and Notebook, sometimes desktop. My answer would be Notebook and Desktop, since it's much more convenient to write longer messages.
    I have created two separate options for mobile phone or mobile tablet (Ipad), since I find the pictures on a phone being o.k., but on an Ipad as poor as on any bigger display.
    I can't correct mobile (Ipad) no more. This answer is also applicable when using any other tablet PC.

    FYI: FChat software resizes each picture, no matter how big it is natively, to 800 pixels width at 72dpi resolution.

    Maybe I'm just too old, but I simultaneously appreciate and despise browsing the web on my phone. It always feels like a compromise. And I do have a nice phone (Pixel 2).

    When I'm quickly browsing a thread for updates from the sofa, it's on my phone. But for actual "research", interaction/conversation, posting my pics/experiences and learning from others - 100%, on the PC. Mobile is a nice convenience, but pales greatly to a large monitor and a real keyboard.

    Can't do your poll because I use all these devices. Surely server side logs/analytics will show what is being used & at what res so appropriate decisions can be made.

    the website admin can get this data in a snap using google analytics, no need to poll users, just ask the admin.

    Only issues I have with the iPad is the inability to highlight a topic and open it in a new tab, no issue on the phone
