    Have you guys ever used your F-cars for "non-Ferrari-like" uses?

    Today, I was visiting a friend of mine with a 348 Spider, and my Tahoe has a flat-tire. I thought about putting on the spare tire and go to a tire shop to patch the flat tire, but my spare didn't have enough air in it.

    So we ended up taking the flat tire in my friend's 348 to the shop (his brother was borring his BMW). Since we couldn't fit my Tahoe's gigantic tire in the boot, I had to carry it ON MY LAP. I was so glad that it was convertible, cuz I can't imagine doing that in a coupe.

    It was quite funny to use a F-car to carry a flat tire... :)

    Anyone used their F-cars for "non-Ferrari-like" uses, such as grocery shopping, moving, or even RV-ing? :)

    I used my then daily driver TR to haul 2x4s from Home Depot complete with a little orange rag tied at the end .

    Maybe he meant he was "boring" it. I guess you do that by driving it at 5 mph in a circle for hours on end.

    -carried a 355 tire in the trunk of my 250 GTE
    -plenty of "home despot" runs
    -some commuter in the rain usage when the other car was down, including some dirt roads close to the beach.
    -rescued my wife when her A6 broke down (erroneous reading on the fuel gauge)
    -go on drives with my 2 kids in the car seats in the back, and leave the car seats in at car shows

    It is always going to be a car, just a slightly more valuable and stylish one, at least compared to the common transportation appliance these days.

    There are also pics of an F40 with a bike rack floating around fchat, and a certain person's black 550 has been known to tow a U-Haul trailer....Just kidding, it was a ski/bike rack...

    I once took my german shepard to the kennel in the Countach :) I have a photo of it somewhere. I have to find it . He had no problem curling up in the seat but I think he preferred my Mitsubishi 3000 or the Ford truck I had then LOL

    I saw a picture of a Ferrari with a roadbike in a bike rack on it. But I guess who says you shouldn't :)

    I've used the 308 plenty of times to drop packages off at FedEx. They always get a kick out of it.

    The best had to be Mike P from here on F-chat. He helped a buddy move a TV by putting the box in the open cavity vacated by the targa top on his GTS. What made it funny is that his car was marrone ( metallic brown ) and it looked like a UPS Ferrari.

    - Used my 308 as a service vehicle once when my wife's car left her stranded at work. Load all my tools and accessories;
    - the occasionally commute to work;
    - a couple of trips to Home Depot;
    - one trip to the pharmacy was memorable, had a guy come out and stood next to my car until I fired it up and left;
    - attended a funeral in it once...now that was awkward! I had no choice since my wife took the other car. Even though I parked it a couple of blocks away from the church, some of the attendees saw it and thought I was trying to upstage the deceased.

    Numerous runs to Central Market and Walmart, not to mention numerous restaurant runs. One of the advantages of a 2+2 is the folding rear seats.

    I think everything I do with mine could be thought of as "un-Ferrari-like." Take the kids to school, go to the store, go out for coffee (well, I guess that might be "Ferrari-like"), go to Home Depot (usually with at least one child in tow), park downtown for a meeting, etc etc.

    What would count as "Ferrari-like uses" anyway?

    One of my favorite things is to make a COSTCO hotdog run at lunch time. The F355 enjoys a crowd watching it and my partner and I enjoy our favorite hotdogs while watching the crowd watching the car :)

    Made a "Costco run" in my 355 spider last weekend....let's see, two huge Mequires car wash soap jugs, big bag of dry cat food, 35lbs of cat litter, dvds, case of Crystal Light...etc. All fit in the trunk no less...but man, ground clearance went from bad to worse! ;)
