Anybody paying attention to Las Vegas 2015 Barrett Jackson results? 1998 355 with salvage title sells for $41250 with F1 trans, 2002 360 Modena gets $78100 with 26160 miles and F1 Trans. Been to Barrett 3 times and they have their fair share of sceptical cars so you would like or want to be sure your getting a reasonable deal before you bid on a car with no inspection.

Plus, what is it - a 10% "buyers premium"? And like you said forget any true PPI. Sounds like a great deal if your last name is "Barrett" or "Jackson"

I never could understand why anyone would buy a commodity vehicle from an auction. A rare or one-off car maybe - but a car you can easily find for sale through multiple other channels...I don't get it.

I agree with you 100 percent. When people buy commodity cars at auction I always believe it's the booze talking. And there is booze everywhere.

Another thing I would like to mention. There are to many cars there that should be sold at a used car lot. Meaning they are not special and should be not sold at a collector car auction. I have never understood this and I have a hard time watching the Barret Jackson auctions on T.V. Because of this.

I was there on Thursday and saw the cars you are mentioning. The 355 wasn't well kept and together been salvaged made a low bid. About the Modena, i am surprised as the dashboard was visibly badly stretched, rotors deeply scratched and the windshield wipers LOL needed to be replaced. Now, if something so easy as the windshield wipers was overlooked, what's the maintenance like ?
