So I’m looking at a used 2012 FF and pope s part of my due diligence of its potential problems I noticed that upon the first ignition of the car when it’s cold it starts great and if I turn it off after driving or after the engine is running and hot and try to restart the car after the ignition is slow and the car makes a noise like it’s trying to start but doesn’t start for a good few seconds, whereas the first ignition was immediate.

Any ideas? Is that normal behavior, if not what to check for problems?

thx in advance for all your precious help guys :)

Have the battery tested. Heat kills batteries and you appear to live in a hot country.

And may I also suggest that you roll all your questions into one due diligence thread on this particular car rather than starting multiple threads on multiple behaviours which the car exhibits which might or might not be perfectly normal.

Mileage? Might be starter, battery or fuel pump inside tank.
