Looking for a used E46 M3 buyer's guide, what to check at PPI, the tricks to know, etc ... Can someone synthetize or post links for some educational reading ?
I am considering buying a manual '02 with 50'000km/30Kmi as a daily driver. What are the key maintenance intervals, recalls to check for etc ...

There must be a ton of M3 owners on this board, some help/link very much appreciated.

I got my M3 at the end of '01

There was a major bearing recall issued for all builds through 04. The
entire bottom engine has to be rebuilt, plus new oil pumps etc.

'02 M3's also have free maint. for 3 years, so all maint. should be done,
since well.... its free, unless you have an idiot who didnt look after
    his car.

The rattle from the diff is normal in all cars. You'll hear it when going over
speed bumps and declutching at low speeds. You'll get used to it.

As is, 3 years, 29k miles, zero issues other then bearing recall, and
    weather stripping on the windows.

Also, the engine should have a 6 year, 100k extended because of the
    bearing recall stuff.

    Good luck.
