Just doing some leisure surfing and came across this:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-Coupe-Cambiocorsa-PERFECT-CONDITION-40-PHOTOS_W0QQitemZ4592943960QQcategoryZ6313QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

sure does seem like a lot of car for the money.
Actually, I think it is pretty. To me it looks like a scaled down 550/ with the 360's v8 motor. Complete with F1 type transmission. Interesting.
Why have prices on these cars dropped so much? Is 28000 really high miles for one of these? How've they been holding up?
Not seriously interested, but I'd consider one for my wife.
    Thanks in advance.

You can find one with less miles for a little more. They're very reliable cars. I have an 02 Spyder.

As far as answering your questions.

Why have the prices on them dropped so much? No idea, all I know is that I took advantage of it and ended up with an Italian car with a warranty for $60k

28000 high miles? It's above average, typically you see 02's with 10-15k.

How do they hold up? Amazing I daily drove my car and drove it from Florida-Oklahoma and Oklahoma-Texas.

Your wife will probably not like it, it looks like a luxury car but it's more of a drivers car. The transmission on the cambio and 6spd is jerky and it takes a great deal of attention to drive. It's not the cruise around town, talk on your phone car. Your wife may be different then most other women though so I'm just speaking for the masses no offense intended towards your wife.

    Thanks for the input.
Makes me wonder how uch lower they're going in the next few years.
Seems like a ton of car for the money.
SL55 would be another option for a bit more $$$.

I see their value holding, in 2007 you might see them in the $45k range for an 02 with 20k miles. Then in 2010 I'd assume in the $35k range. They'll hit a point where it won't go much lower though. You probably won't ever pick one up for say $10-15k. I don't see them falling below $30k. This is just my opinion though.

At 3740 pounds it is closer to two tons of car for the money!
