Well it is offical. USGP for 2006 will be at Indy. Moved to July 2nd. No talk about what is going to happen with this race after next year. Bet Bernie is going to play with the Speedway and hold them hostage for awhile. See link to site:

Big surprise - I sent in the renewal for my tickets, and they charged my credit card right away. So I figured the race would go on, just let the controversy die down a little. The only question remaining is whether I get my refund for 2005.

I too am looking forward to the race, especially because of what happened this year.

Me too - very close, very reasonable - same place last year was about 2.5 x's what I got today. Tried to move the reservations I made based on June 25th but found the hotel already unavailable for the new dates. I am wondering now about the best guess sked already out as it showed Canada 18 June and now with the USGP on 2 July just wondering what Bernie has up his sleeve. I hope he doesn't mess with Imola or Monaco as we have hotel reservations made and airline tickets purchased for both venues.

Last report on Cancun was that it wouldn't be ready until '07. It wouldn't make sense to start north as in Canada go south as in Mexico and come back north to Indiana. In light of the problems the NASCAR folks encountered getting into Mexico it just envisions a huge can of worms getting F1 in there.

    We'll know in December.
