This will be my second trip to a F1 race, my first was Dallas back in 1984. I've been trying to find a map of the seating layout but I can't seem to find any. Can anyone provide some useful links?

    Thanks,

    Will

Have you seen this one? Not very detailed, though. I have a map from last years USGP, so I can scan it and fax it to you if you want.

J & H usually are sold out. If you can get seat high up in one of thsoe two, you would be doing very well. Otherwise, the Penthouse seats at the S/F line are very good. I have been in A Penthouse since the first race.

Thanks for the link. It looks like my tickets are right across from the pit area.

I am in the NW vista and closer to H & J. I actually like the NW vista as you can really see all the way down the front straight.

Are we doing an Fchat get together while at the track? Did somebody mention a round of drinks on Ricambi? (wink wink)

The 6th and 10 Corner Terraces are great places to watch and take photos as the cars are going slowest there. Of course Gold Tickets are the best if $ is no object.

if its in the paddock area .... you can sit in your assigned seat or once the race starts .... most people just move around and find open seats. i like to see the pit action so usually end up finding a spot across from the ferrari pits .... its closer to the screens too.

of course this year the ferrari pits will be closer to the middle.

Opps sorry about the quick edit.

My seats are located in the paddock area, but there are 2 sections. Is there a breakdown of exactly where I'll be sitting? If know one knows, I might have to call the ticket office for that. I look forward to meeting the rest of the F-Chatters that will be attending.

Me and my friend were thinking about making a road trip to indy for the GP, money is probably going to prohibit that tho, guess i'll just end up watching it on tv again.

its not too expensive if you have a few people and you rent a minivan.
thats what we usually do. also .... its cheaper to stay outside indy. we usually stay at bloomington (1 hr away). its a college town so theres stuff to do at night too.
leave friday evening/night ...reach bloomington saturday morning ....race sunday morning..... leave directly after the race and you can make it back early monday morning. its a little hectic .... but its cheaper than flying.

I switched from the J section were I was at last year. This year I am in section 12 of the Paddock. I wanted to be able to see the START/FINISH and the trophy ceremony this time. I have 2 extra tickets, I am just not sure what to do with them yet.

OK, how about an FChat gathering Friday or Saturday night, one of the places downtown?

"H" stand, section #3, up high. Will arrive afternoon thursday, and leaving AM monday. Staying downtown. Would love to attend any f-chat get-to-gethers.
Flying, so the 328 stays home.

Seven of us are taking 2 cars to the USGP from St. Louis. We pay to park in people's driveways. One car is going down just for the race the other for the whole weekend.

That's not a bad idea, It's not a definite no at the moment, I'm sure the'll still be tickets available for a while. (considering last years usgp I don't think it will sell out in record time)

Ill be making the drive from Milwaukee with my brother and brother-in-law. Its the first GP for all of us, I'm very excited about going. Im going to try to educate the other two about F1 as much as I can before we get there; they don't follow it that much but both were pretty exicted to go to the race and see what I obsess over.

I would like to meet some of you while there if possible so if plans get finalized for an Fchat meeting let me know.

If we are going to do an F-Chat meet, we should find out who is going and what day pretty much everyone will be in town so that we can figure out where and when to meet. I will be arriving Wednesday about 10:00am and leaving Monday.

I think we (various other Fchatters) will not be there to sometime Friday night. We're driving up there (maybe caravan) from the DFW area so I'll try to keep everyone posted.

I will be there for sure Friday and Saturday nights. I would assume, most everyone will be there Saturday night. That might be the best time for a gathering.

i just scored a couple of free tickets. Some friends won't be attending so they just handed them over yesterday. The seats are in stand J, were the main straight starts into the road course. All the action....

    I don't mind Friday.
But, I say we do it on Saturday Night after Qualifying.

Who knows a very good Restaurant that won't kill the budget for some of us?
