I watched the race, what an eventful race! I noticed there was something different about tobacco advertising. While most of the teams with tobacco sponsors were displaying their names, Marlboro was omitted from all TV coverage. Was there a significance to that and why? Does anyone know?

The way the Us tobbaco laws are Marlborro may sponsor only one team in any form of US motor racing. Since the penske IRL team is sponsored by them Ferrari has to go blank at the USGP. If West were to sponsor a Nascar team then McLaren would have to go with out the logo.

I do not understand the anti-tobacco sentiment. Is it mirrored by an anti-alchohol sentiment?
