Just wanted to know who will actually be there? I will be flying out Wednesday. Who is going to be in the J Stand on Raceday? Is it worth going on Thursday to the Paddick Walk?

This is all going to be a new experience for me. I've been waiting 2 years to finally go to an F1 Race. The closest I've come to being there was 2 years ago when on Vacation in Italy. Drove through Monaco 2 weeks before the race & 3 days after the race.

I will be with the FCA group in Stand H at turn 1.

You'll find multiple threads in both this and the other forums (including the regional forums) about who is going.

I will be there also getting in Wed. night.

As for the track walk about it can get to be quite crowded and all of the pits are roped off so you cannot get right up to the garages. I am not 100% sure if i will go or not to the Walkabout.

Saturday is real boring. I hate the new qualifying system. In fact I have always hated this single lap qualifying and this is my way of protesting.

My girlfriend and I will be there on Sunday, Stand H. And I'm gonna hang around for the big gathering after the race for a couple of days. It would be nice to wear a pin, t-shirt, or something signifying we are all "fchatters". There are many on this forum I'd like to meet in person......

So you're going to fly out to Indy so that you can attend Friday's practice and Sunday's race, and exercise your form of non-violent protest regarding those boring qualifying sessions by not attending on Saturday.

(shurgging shoulders) Oh well...you're the jet-setter.

Is that why you were on F-Chat at 5:30 AM last Saturday in Montreal. Not to mention, for a guy that's gone though a scorcher of a GP this week-end, you seem to be rather well rested to be up and posting at 3:27 AM, and roaming until 5:00 AM. Don't you want to get some sleep before your flight to Indy.

Oh, and in passing, when are you flying out to Indy? Flight no? Airline?

As to the pit walk it is a mixed bag. 2 years ago due to a series of events we got to the at 8am by the time we got to Ferrari Pits we were 30 rows back.
We notied the front owed and ahed a couple of times. That night we saw on the local news the Braun came out and signed autographs the Michael did the same. Last year we got to track really early and got in the front row of the Ferrari Pits and NOBODY came and so much as waved to us.
That being said the other teams (we could see down pits) had their drivers
signing autographs. Indy had Mario and severl other drivers signing autographs. We got to meet Kimi's aunt, uncle and cousin the year before
and had a friendly chat about who was the best driver Kimi or Michael.
So I would do the pit walk if it your first time, who knows beginners luck!

Was there a direct flight from Montreal to Indy...or did you simply follow the Yellow Brick Road?

I'll be arriving wednesday. Does anyone know if there will be a Ferrari gathering at the city center, similar to last year?
