I have gotten 4 responces to my quote. I asked for a $25k loan for 60 months. I got Synergy Bank:$25k for 4.85% for 60 months, CitiFinancial Online Auto: $22k for 72 months at 8.25% (not what I asked for), and Household Auto Finance: $30k for 60 months at 4.79% (and again not what I asked for).

Any info on these banks??? I'm waiting still on Capital One Auto Finance, but the Synergy Bank has hit the money, but I went to their website and it's not a very involved site. Looks cheap. So I'm kinda curious.

Any input from the wonderful group here would be great.

I did apply at one time with LendingTree, and with the others as well (whatever was on the market at the time) for a testing of their systems for business purposes. But with the LT rate, I was able to get a better rate at my local credit union. Of course, it cost me a few bucks to become a member, but they treat you right.

Well the fourth company hasn't gotten back with a quote yet, but the $30k at 4.79% has done what I wanted them to do. I called and asked how long before i recieve the check? (I want the car tomorrow) and she "Goes oh well we have to finish your credit package... pause... chuckles, O K, well you're ready to go on that, the check will be there tomorrow, and just write it out for however much up to the $30k all at 4.79%." SWEET! I'm 23 and I have excellent credit! And I called two other lenders and both I have had car loans with and one actually laughed quickly when I asked if they could do lower APR. So far LendingTree.com has my thumbs up.
If tomorrow goes as planned I'll own a car I have lusted after for over 3 years now. Since I drove it when it first came out!!! and I have been in a 97 Prelude SH down to Geo Metro and now a 97' Pontiac Grand Am in that time. I am soooooo freakin excited I could barely sleep last night.
Oh and uh, Schatten you can especially appreciate the car!!! hint hint!

What is it you will be shopping for?

Also, what they will give you is typically a draft check. Should work, but will see. It's been a while.

What about E loan.com? I worked with them last year & surprisingly low rate over other lenders at the dealership where I worked. I'm curious too what kind of car your getting, an S2K maybe?

    Best of luck.

Which reminds me, a friend of mine (Will, remember Sondra?) is selling a red 2000 S2000 for ~18K. Know anyone looking for one? Let me know.

I used the Lending Tree to refi my apt in Miami & buy my F40. They eventually hooked me up w an HSBC bank. Took about 45 days.

I will definately use them again

Well, doesn't matter, some guy came out of no where and bought it on ebaymotors. Freakin EBAYMOTORS CRAP. It's some german guy apparently. I checked the ad at 15 minutes till. Then went back to the computer real quick before I left to go buy the freakin car and SOLD, right at closing. They haven't heard from him yet and I'm hoping it's a scammer or something. We'll see. But I may have just lost my S2000.

Now, what to do with this check?

Ryan, obviously that would probably be the view of most and I shared that view up until Monday when I just wanted one. I have been driving a very boring car for a while now (96 Geo Metro and now 96 Grand Am) and saw one for a good price. Not this would kill me but maybe the soul would die. So I went and drove it and fell in love.

I HAVE GREAT NEWS!!!!!! GOING AGAINST RYAN'S ADVICE I AM THE EXTREMELY PROUD OWNER (or borrower) OF 2004 SUZUKA BLUE S2000 FOR $23995!!!!!!!!!!! THE EBAY BUYER FELL THROUGH AND I JUST TODAY BOUGHT IT!

With 12560 miles and a clean carfax. the car is dank near perfect and although I am stretching my self a little thin, I couldn't be happier!!! I will post pictures very soon. I made this decision and will just have to work hard to pay for it. It is God's gift to me. Plus at the price I paid if I had to I could actually resale the car for a profit at the going rate.
    I'll post pics soon.
