Hi guys, I just bought a 2015 458 spider, first ever Ferrari, and living in Dubai, with temperatures reaching 40-45 at the moment I don't think it was the best time to buy the car to use. Is it okay to be used in this heat on a daily basis or is it not recommended? If I do use it any specific precautions I should be aware of in terms of the best way use the car etc?
as long as u go from AC garage to AC garage and dont stop in the open too much. Just dont push it to the limits during the day, race in the night. And watch for the sea salt :O
Hi Merg95, I feel you. Just picked up a 458 Spyder from Al-Tayer Motors 2 weeks ago. The heat (and humidity) is a killer and hard to use top down. Doesn't stop me anyways I live in Abu Dhabi by the way. I plan to bring her (458 Spider) to Dubai tomorrow (attending an Energy Conference at The Marriott Marquis) so if you're in the neighborhood, lets grab a coffee. Sart ....
My windows are tinted...sides and rear. Did you get the heat resistent windshield? When its sunny, driving with the top up and lowering the rear window will help the a/c blow better. Always leave the rear window down somewhat while sitting in the sun. Get some slip covers for your seats from dealer or eBay. Early morning is a great time to drive. Cool but you can see. No traffic either. Put the top down. It hardly ever gets over 85F here in summer vs 120F in Las Vegas. Best

Hi, Is it something I should have asked for or does it come standard with the car, the heat resistance glass? I think I need to put tint, can you recommend a good company. One that is dark but from inside you can see well outside.
Did you buy the Rosso Corsa with tan interior that was sitting in the showroom floor? Daniel (Sales Manager) told me that was the last Spider they would be receiving. I'm taking mine to Dubai just to feel the open air on the highway. Sart
I found the HVAC very poor in the 458 spider. For some reason, Ferrari fitted smaller airducts under the dash than the coupe.
I would be more worried about you suffering from a heat stroke, rather than the car having issues. Top up and air conditiong mate for you own good.
Hi Sart, There were two left, one with the tan inside and another with black which was in dubai, i got the black inside, the tan im not a fan of. Yes there is only 1 left in the UAE and that is tan one. How much did you pay for yours, if you dont mind me asking? Yes i need to buy cleaning products, brushes and cloths for the car ASAP, dont know where to get them from?
