No, not THAT one which shall not be named here at F-chat... Now's Your Chance to Own the V12-Swapped Ferrari 308 of Your Dreams Colombo powered. In England.
Wow...seems like you couldn't fit a toothpick into that engine bay anymore I wonder what the weight distribution is like. That V12 must add a lot of weight to the back.
But it is not the first time we see this car: it was already advertised for sale about two years ago, I believe? Oh God gracious...not two years ago, four years ago already! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/427738-v12-308-a.html Rgds
I don't think its the same car. This car has a tan interior. The car in the ad has a white interior. The other car doesn't appear to have a rear window defroster. I guess it could have been changed.
That's not a 400i engine -- it's the "400i block with TR heads in a 308" project (of an ex-FChatter) IIRC.
Years ago there was a 308 v12 "conversion". As I recall, it used the SOHC engine. I have the manual somewhere Believe it or not, the SOHC 12 was lighter than the DOHC 8. Philip
I thought I found the 308's performance to be anemic just because of the more modern cars I've driven. Nope, original owners noticed it too. What an amazing car that would be to have. With all the famous names attached to it, and the level of the work, it must be worth a fortune.
