Now that my 308 restoration/EFI/Turbo project is almost done, I am considering building a 250 GTO or Calif. spyder clone, and would use a Jaguar 5.3 V12 for the project, as the chances of finding a Colombo V12 within my budget are zero. I can buy a dead jaguar XJS for $1500 and salvage the engine.

So, does the Jaguar V12 have the same crank layout, and firing order as the Colombo V12 ?? If not, how close is it ??

I did extensive reading on the Detroit V8 (cross plane crank) vs the Ferrari 308 V8, (flat plane crank) and know the differences, but is there a web site that talks about the timing of the different V12's ?

    I think Chelle had / has a 250 GTO clone with a 850I BMW V12 in it?

seemed like a really cool set up.

I STILL want a well done Ford GT-40 replica..... :(
