So I'm seeing VC left and right offered at around MSRP, including a blue dial chronograph... Any thoughts on this as an investment piece?

Watches are not investments. Certainly not Vacheron unless it’s a rare model. Buy it if you like the watch.

The last few years have caused so much brain damage in peoples heads with regards to values. Every single watch (including Patek, Rolex, Vacheron etc) could be had at 15-25% discount ore Covid.

We will get back to those times. So no- the Vacheron overseas is not an investment piece. Buy it if you like the watch.

VC is one of my favorite brands… but they are not investment pieces but great horology.

Least expensive of the Big 3 .
Overseas > than Royal Oak IMO.
I like the look of the Overseas but my next watch will be a Rose gold Fifty Fathoms IF they come down .
So far they are holding value pretty well .

I have been on a waitlist for a black overseas for nearly two years. Got a call yesterday from Miami boutique that they had one. Should be getting it today or tomorrow.
No doubt the tide is turning. I buy watches I love not for investment reasons. A large part of a manufacturer’s appeal to me is history, and few manufacturers can match the history of VC.

Prices are definitely coming down in the aftermarket and I love my VC Overseas Tourbillon. The cobalt blue dial which also can look like a navy dial looks better than most bleu dials I've seen from other top brands. You can get this piece in the high 80's to the low 90's which is lower than a new one for $115K with tax. European Watch Company has one for sale at $94K but could be acquired closer to $92K. They have a wide range of all VC models. Cheers!

+1 on EWC, solid company to deal with. No affiliation or connect but I am a regular customer.
