Am I missing here something? No thread yet? Also stunned not to see the Senna name in P1. Did he get axed? And some new name I never heard of. Edit: Just saw Senna back in P2. Must have been their test driver getting a chance at running some laps.
No idea how Pedro managed to stuff the car there... According to Wikipedia, Bottas will be taking place in 15 Friday practice sessions for Williams this year.
Just for fun... your 44,289 posts, divided by 7 days a week, divided by 52 weeks a year, divided by 10 years is 12.16 posts per day. Now THAT's a lot of posts!
Should be a good fight for pole there. Everyone is having braking issues at that one corner, what number is it? The Merc looks very tidy and seems to only be going wide at the very last corner. Looking very nice in S2. Strangely, Merc are running their front wings with no cascades on it again just as in Canada. The Ferrari is looking very good in S1 but still seems very twitchy in the higher speed turns. Ferrari also have a new 5 partitioned front wing they are fooling around with. I heard Button is using Hamilton's setup and is doing much better.
Also Red Bull have once again reworked their exhaust system bodywork to something appearing to directly the flow even more directly to the diff. They are really grasping at that aren't they.
+1 Other than PDR binning the HRT & everyone locking up their fronts, nothing much happened. FWIW, final times. Cheers, Ian Image Unavailable, Please Login
Studying that a little more; - Caterham seem to be mixing it up with the TR's! Dunno if they're making progress or TR is going backwards but I suspect Dr Marko may be regretting trashing last years guys - Two rookies with no benchmark is a big ask - Do they both suck, or is it the car?....... Cheers, Ian
Probably won't make quali tomorrow, the toyota desert 1000 (much like Baja 1000) is in town this weekend! Will probably watch the race on replay...
I believe Red Bull and Vettel have this race in the bag. Their new exhaust is getting quite a bit of attention and as I'm seeing the details of it (most of which seem to be hidden), it's a winner.
I wouldn't say "in the bag" but yeah, he's my pick to win around here. Always goes well and RB seems like the most "consistent" team this year.
haha. I watched P2 again today, Vettel's RB looks stupidly planted on S3. Really quick there. I'd be surprised if they didn't at least podium here.
