    Im considering getting a V1 for my 348. Has anyone out there installed in a 348? Ive read people had problems with the lighter adapter, is there an adapter I can buy that will work? How about hard wire installs, I would assume these are much cleaner looking - are they difficult (Id prefer this way if it is not hard)? Pics of your installs and any installation tips (parts used, procedure, etc..) would be appreciated.

    I have had my V1 since 1998. Used it in a 87 328, 1994 348, 1989 328 as well as my former M3 and current STI. I have a hard wire in the 328, but used the lighter in all the others with no problems. Even hard wired, you can still unplug and use in another car. It uses standard phone wire.
