http://www.nbc11news.com/internationalnews/headlines/93764434.html The valet handed the keys over to the wrong person, which led to a 6 hour joyride through Melbourne. Doh!
The article claims it's a $448,000 AUD car. That equates to 397,567.23 USD. They're pricey over there if you can believe that figure.
ferraris in australia are extremely rare...i think a wore out old 348 clunker like PAPs is almost 100k
The article isn't very telling but it does mention that he was arrested. It's amazing what goes through people's heads sometimes.
Wow. I don't think there's anything I read that surprises me anymore. It's ashame people are so dishonest.
This happened at the 4 seasons in Newport a decade ago, on the same weekend I was there with my 550. Two valets stacked a 355 FTS at the end of the driveway and the hotel stroked a check for 175K! I had a fleeting thought I should self park too....
My first stop would have been the Paint Booth.....LOL! That would have bought him a few days!!! Valets are so full of it, I have been offered the wrong car several times.....I rarely do more than park it myself and let them "keep" the keys... Hotel ZaZa last Friday.... With a good lawyer he'll argue that since the valet gave him the keys, he is not at fault. "I thought that because I was a VIP they were letting me use a Ferrari"
I was going to 'swap' for this, but the other side he had already hit the curb, and had the spare on the ground!! Money can't buy talent!!! There were some Euro babes at the pool, topless.... Image Unavailable, Please Login

No.... he knows that the car doesn't not belong to him. Thats like saying well I saw the car running in the middle of the street so I just took it and drove the **** out of it for 6 hours... its not going to work. If you were walking by a fruit stand and took a bunch of fruit, is it right? its just laying there... Or what if you are in the grocery store and a guy gives you a few cases of beer... is it right? There is no law to protect you against ignorance
Current "drive away" prices in Australia: F599 USD 620 000 California USD 465000 Somehow the import duties are there to protect the local car industry !!??
