    I have a red covered 288 GTO owners manual, and I'm wondering what it is worth. Any ideas?

    I only have the owner’s manual. It is in mint condition. I bought it from Lake Forest Sports Cars in Chicago 20 years ago (I was 15). I was told later that the red cover was significant. That red covers were only for books that came with cars, and that replacement books had white covers. Is this true? There is a number on the inside of the back cover, cat. 345/85 n. 1.000. Is that the number you are referring to?

    True, Mr. Jack Habits of ************ would be a good person to ask....

    Thats a publication number IIRC........all Factory books have one...

    Ralph Lauren could put it with the one he's selling, if he needs it.....
