    i am offered a white on white lm002 1991 american with 2800 kms. usa spec.new car. what is this car worth ? what are the selling for ? are there any buyers for lm's. this is not my cup of tea but i may be obligated to make a real offer...

    Maybe in the $80's, I love those cars but affraid that SUVs and Lambos don't mix that good as far as reliability concerned.

    the lm002 is a fantastic,rare and fast hummer alternative.u could say it out-hummers the hummer!originally conceived as a "fast military all-terrain transport",the american military finally decided on the slow-ass am general humvee instead.lamborghini,never one to take a beating lying down,promptly marketed it as the ultimate go-anywhere super-luxury SUV;a concept only repeated 20-odd years later with the x5 4.6 and porsche cayenne turbo/toureg w12.
    in the uk this car fetches around 50k pounds sterling,if and when this thing comes up on the market!(rare as hell!)
    its said that this car/tank is notoriously unreliable(a half truth),a pig to drive(rubbish,this car was the ultimate handling SUV til the cayenne) and uncomfortable(nope,its as comfortable as a MY2003 bmw x5 4.4 w 18" rims).
    so its fast,surprisingly practical(4 seats n a huge boot PLUS a pick up bed)
    and probably the most testosterone packed vehicle ever made.
    the downside is the fragile-if neglected,countach v12(455PS,5.2l)
    hard to find wear-and-tear items and irish-drinking buddy thirst(7-14mpg).

    #4 cond $52k
    #2 cond $78k

    SCM

    hope ur still considering the lm002!
    i told u in my last post the countach 5.2l,455bhp/369lb.ft v12 carburettor was kinda fragile....
    it seems some japenese lm's have been converted to fuel-injection,5.7l,525bhp/445lb.ft v12.
    what does this straight swap do to the lm002?
    well;here goes:-
    0-62mph 7.1sec
    vmax 139-142mph
    mpg h/way 13-16.7mpg
    mpg sbb 8-10.2 mpg
    .......just remember to switch to the ap racing brake kit;
    the rear drums are also converted to vent. disc brakes of 312mm diameter.
    transmission worries are somewhat unfounded.
    i am in the process of purchasing one of these leviathans;for around $68k from the UK.(malaysia is RHD)
    hehehhheh...so i hope u make the purchase,may we compare notes on our vehicles' progress!
