i like them, i paid $1600 or so for my 4 QV replica wheels new in box from T Rutlands. i would think the 17s would be worth "around" that to a buyer, who wanted the look.

I found a set and purchased them because I want to try some larger rims on my car to feel the ride. If I prefer the stockers, I may try to trade to try something else or sell them. I am also not sure how they will look on my car. Even though we all have essentially the same car, I think some wheels look better with certain colors etc...Just wanting to make sure I didn't overpay.

    Hey Doug,

What are the widths on the set of 17's that you bought? I've got a set of the HRE (288 GTO) wheels that I might be interested in trading. LMK.

ya know, my 308 is about unsellable now due to the economy, as i aint going to give it away. i may buy a set of these in a few months, and just drive the crap out of my lowly GTB QV.

i hope to buy a Gt4 in a few months, so i can always swap the wheels between 2 3x8s! . i am running out of parking space though..... time for a different / bigger house i think.

anybody know if going to 17s, on an older 308 with 14,s or 390s would require the wheel bearing to wear out faster?

i am asking because it seem lambo jalpas have a hell of a time ruining tier wheel bearings, and the damn things are over $500.00 each, and they are HUGE. just wondering what the loading would be on the various bits of the control arms.

all of my stuff in the front end on my 308 was replaced this week. will do a new thread about it later.

    Doug,

I used to have a set of those. Sold them about a year ago. I had inquired with several people who all told me that they were worth $2000 - $2500, with the fact that they had the Ferrari center caps being worthwhile. I think they were 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. I sold them very quickly for $2000.

Considering their scarcity, quality, being a wide 17 inches, and the fact that anyone can pick up a set of imitation 16" QV wheels for $1500, I think this is a fair price for the Speedlines, both in terms of what you get for the money and for the sake of keeping them out of the hands of people who don't really know what they are and are just looking for any 17" wheel.

    Cheers,

    Tony K.

I will be getting them next week and will put them on. If I like them, I will keep them. If not, I will try to trade for some OEM 16" or replicas.
