Valvcovers and the cut on gasket for no leak!

    Looks like you did it correctly. You kept the cut far enough away not to cut the seal. I dressed the gasket itself w/Hylomar...others recomend Hondabond. For the corners I used Permatex Ultra Copper High Temp RTV. So far...so good ;)

    The top looks ok, but I would cut some additional material for a better fit around the "bottom" or lower end of the seal. Any gap like that is an invitation to leak-even with a good seal material. I lightly coated some left-over gasket material cut to verrrry close fit with gasket cement (to hold in place when the cover is replaced) after some bad luck with such an opening. The lower corners also need all the gasket material you can get to avoid future leaks. Might look a little cheesy, but it keeps the oil in.

    Thanks, I did glue the bottom of the gasket to the heads and put RTV where it need to be.

    That looks ok, but I think you should look at the timing again. It looks like it's a bit off.
