Valve cover paint

I think they said it was a bit more red than stock, but depending on your needs should be ok.

 

VHT is too orange but it's the only option in the US at this time. We have procured the proper materials and plan to add this service down the road. When, I don't know.

 

I have used a basecoat match mixed as a vinyl spray for the UV protection. Sprays out to the semi-flat finish and has been fine with the extreme heat.

 

Riloplast is the original brand but the company is a major pita to work with (even if you’re from Europe).

I might give it a whirl, doesn't look too hard to remove the cover.

The only thing that throws me off is the "bright" red...
The VHT is pretty orange and bright, our intake covers are a darker/deeper red.

Going on 4 weeks now, guess I'll send them an email :/

 

This is blasted and powder coat. Near perfect match with wrinkle finish, and should last this time. Paint coupons were matched in advance. It looks a little glossy due to my overzealous detail. It came out more of a satin finish.

Well, I guess they don't. They refunded me.

Any other vendors in the US or will ship to the US?

I had the same issue. PayPal refund with no explanation. After emailing them asking why it was refunded after almost a month I was told it's apparently too hard/expensive due to flammable nature of spray cans.
Apparently they can ship to UK without problems, so I'm shipping them to a friend there

 

No, it wasn’t just any shop, it was one that had experience doing it. If you go this way, I highly suggest having a shop color match and run a coupon so you can be sure you like the result. We coated the entire manifold and had the Ferrari script logo machined to remove the powder coat to finish it.

It wasn’t cheap, but it was done right and for the last time. I need to get the exact cost as it was part of several things I had done. Removal, new gaskets, and reinstall labor was a few hours as well.
