I have a 355 spyder that when I start the engine, it sounds just fine. But after a few moments, there is a valve tapping sound that disappears after about 30 seconds when the oil gets to circulate. Have any of you had this happen, and is it normal? If it isn't normal, what should be done about it? Thanks, Wayne

If its a hydrolic tappet (lifter) making the noise, try changing the oil becourse maybe the oil has got to thin or maybe the oil was the wrong type. I had the same type of problem with one of my cars a few years back and changing the oild did the trick. But thats only if it is the tappet, becourse the hydrolic type tappet fills with engine oil as it runs.
