    Save the date my friends. We will drive up on Friday morning, June 13th, in order to have plenty of free time for shopping and sight seeing in Vancovuer. This year we will be staying at the Westin Bayshore, down on the waterfront, adjacent to Stanley Park. I have a block of rooms reserved already, and we will be having a buffet dinner Saturday night at the Brock House Restaurant out at Jericho Beach, just a 15 minute drive from the hotel. It is a beautiful mansion, and will will be allowed to park our cars on the grass in front.

    This year, we will require prepayment for dinner, it will be $57 per person, and is quite a spread, check it out:

    Assorted Homemade Dinner Rolls
    Vegetable Platter with Dip
    Decorated Cold Poached Salmon with Shrimp

    Salads
    Brock House Garden Salad
    Traditional Caesar Salad w/Roasted Croutons
    Heart to Heart Artichoke & Red Pepper Salad
    Spinach-Mandarin Orange Salad
    Bean and Tomato Salad in Kalamata Vinaigrette

    Carving Station with Chef:
    Baron of Beef – served with Horseradish and Dijon Mustard
    Roasted Turkey – served with Cranberry Sauce


    Hot Entrée:
    Grilled dill mustard wild salmon
    Roasted Chicken with a Chanterelle Mushroom Sauce

    Accompaniments
    Roasted Potatoes
    Seasonal Vegetables
    Rice Pilaf

    Domestic & Imported Cheese Platter
    Seasonal Fresh Fruit Platter

    We will have a drive planned for Saturday late morning, up to Cypress Bowl ski area, then back down to a brew pub in North Vancouver for lunch, with a short reception following at Ferrari Maserati of Vancouver.

    Sunday will be the all Italian Car Show. It is hugely popular and includes Italian motorcycles and bicycles as well.

    The event (on Sunday) takes place in a small park (Waterfront Park) in North Vancouver, located right next to Lonsdale Quay (west of it) and accessible from W. Esplanade St.

    I may be attending a conference that weekend at the Canada Place, maybe I can able do both. It has been awhile and it will be good to see everyone again. Do we allow kids at this event ?

    Kids? You better believe it! But I am not sure if there is a "kids price" for the Saturday night buffet. If you want to attend that, PM me and we can discuss this with Roy Kan the regional director in Vancouver who is handling the arrangements with the Brock House Restaurant. But all activities are "kid friendly", as long as you are not tailing Roy Friday night to Brandi's... ;)

    Glad to hear that I will be able to bring my family with me. And should it happen, I will be the only one following Roy to Brandi's, afterall, my wife did ask me to see if we can find a babysitter for my son. I can use some help interviewing them tho, want to help ? :)

    I had to ask because IIRC, not all official events are kid friendly and I also recall some members expressing their displeasure about having kids at official events. I will stay in touch with you about this, when I am certain that I will be attending the conference and the event. Thanks !!

    I can think of at least three or four couples that have brought their kids on this weekend event. It IS held on Father's Day Weekend after all! ;)

    Let's see, the Hallers, Quicks, Ramos, I know I am missing someone....

    This a great event in Vancouver that has been going on for several years now. Its nice to see more and more of you southern guys coming up for this event. This is probably the biggest Ferrari event in Vancouver every year. I will be there taking pictures when you guys head up Cypress(great drive and view!) and also at the Italia show. I look forward to this!

Sunday's car show is open to the public, all other events are for FCA members only. BUT, Ferrari ownership is not required to join the FCA, so feel free to sign up and join in the fun!

    Just PM me with all your details, make a reservation with the Westin Bayshore (tell them you are with the Ferrari Club to get the discounted rate) and send Gary Reed payment for the Saturday night dinner.
