Who's interested in a drive this Sunday. ToddB needs to get his vette dirty and my 348 always prefers fellow Italian cars along for drives. suggest we meet 10am or so in W.Van and head up Squamish area for lunch. I've posted more details on NWEAC at http://www.nweac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=44#44 or PM me for details The Howe Sound Brew Pub looks like a worthy destination for food. http://www.howesound.com/brewpub.php I'm getting hungry and thirsty just reading about it - time to get some lunch.
I would love to join but being a carless enthusiast I must ask this question: anyone got a free passenger seat, if so, mind letting me tag along?
we must might - I think ToddB is coming in from Richmond, but he may be bringing his g/f along. I suspect she's got some influence - let's see who else pops up and how many seats are free.
No problem Red - I'm hoping we can get some more drives done in the spring. Although i'm going to keep the 348 insured over the winter.
What A Wet Drive! but the Carrera GT made up for that..... more pics on www.nweac.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
yeap - wet is right. And with the Speedster the Porsche's outnumbered the Ferrari. Sweet Vette Todd, and great that you could plow the water off the road with those 295's for the Speedster.
Wow nice cars guys, I saw you all in West Vancouver around 10 when I was in bus stop, first the 348 Spider lonely on the road(Nice ride tjacoby ), then the seal grey Carrera GT and Red C4(Nice car Todd) Vette appeared, my jaw simply hit the ground when i saw the CGT, I didn't expect to see it in that crappy weather. After a few minutes I decided to check rides in parking lots which took me a long time to find and to look at, so finally I missed my bus and every thing went wrong. lol Later saw the silver 356 Speedster. BTW whose CGT is that? And also saw a blue(sweet color) Continental GT with standard chrome rims, black CLS55 AMG and a black H1 in Caulfield village parking lot.
Don't know about the Caulfield cars, but sorry that we made you miss your bus! I kinda like hanging out with the C-GT, I sure don't worry about anyone stealing the other cars - no one even sees it when the C-GT is around. One resident figured it was owned by an Albertan Oil worker. Check out this month's BC Business magazine for a picture of a "very" similiar C-GT and owner. Speedster is an Intermeccanica - 86 miles on the clock by the time we got to Horseshoe Bay. next time you see us around, come on up and say hi - we could of shown you around the cars in a bit more detail. Did you catch the launch of the C-GT back into traffic - unreal. Oh yeah - ToddB's corvette is concourse clean - the paint is perfect.
Right now, www.nweac.com Is a private forum. Next time we have event, come and say Hi and if we like you We will let you on Just kidding...Come to our next event, show your face! and we can all chat about cars Todd
Oops, I made a mistake about Caulfield cars, shouldn't have posted them in this thread. And actually I was in a hurry and plus I didn't know where were you guys-in which restaurant. And about the CGT, I heard a very loud noise, wasn't sure what was it, but gotta say sound was like F1 cars. Another question, how many CGT's are in Vancouver, I've seen a seal grey one before on Granvill, is it the same one? and also a silver one in Autoshow.
No prob - by the time the Speedster showed up, we were pretty well outside yackin'. That'd be the CGT on launch - like a big-block f1 car - awesome sound. I've heard there's five CGT's in Vancouver. The Bentley and CL55 are cool cars - I've seen a dark blue Bentley downtown a few times, can't imagine there's a lot of them in town.
5? Wow, nice, I hope somebody gets one in black. Yellow and red look pretty good, too. And where did he go that much fast with CGT? in Village? that's incredible. BTW The color of Continental GT was like this, very nice. and I've seen silver, dark grey and a dark gold before. Image Unavailable, Please Login
thatas a real good color, the thing with that car is, id like it way more if the front grill were actually metal, ya pay so much and ya end up with plastic...
So there are now two Seal Grey CGT's in town...any way to distinguish them other than by the driver? Nice meet! I had a brunch to attend so I couldn't come up!
