Who is the event organiser? Looking for where to register to enter a car....... FCA? Alfa's? other local? Leads appreciated..... thx, james
(I would've answered this thread right away, but I've been away since you posted this...) The event is organised by our Alfa Romeo club (currently known as Italian Car Club of B.C.). It is held at the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. It is a non-judged event, so no entry fees, no spectating fees, no prizes, nada, zip, zilch, just a nice day out hanging out with friends and looking at beautiful cars... Isn't that what its all about? Just show up with your car. For you folks coming up from the U.S., get in contact with Dave Handa, who is coordinating the event. There's plenty of info posted in the "Northwest" section of this site, but in any case, get in touch with him, he'll provide all of the info.
BTW, the event is actually on June 20th (Sunday)....would hate for you to sit out there all by yourself.
My wife and I won't be there this year unfortunately. We're taking the TR to Alberta and back for 10 days. Have a great day!! We'll be there there next year. Don.
That's too bad Don, but I'm sure the drive to Alberta will be really nice, especially in your TR. I drove to Calgary last weekend and really enjoyed the scenery through the Rockies.
Peter, nice to hear from you and I look forward to seeing your new paint job. We plan to take the Coquihalla to Kamloops for the first night and then continue on the Trans-Canada, perhaps staying at Glacier Park Lodge for two days and then on to my brother's farm in Cayley, Alberta for a couple of days. On the return trip we'll take the southern route through Cranbrook and stay in Creston with Terry Rendek (348 GTB) for two days and then back to Vancouver via Osoyoos. The car has 41000k on it and I want to put on some more k before the $$ major service in 2006. Enjoy the show. Don.
Nice route you're taking. You'll especially enjoy the Crowsnest (#3) hwy back, nice and twisty. See you later (maybe again at the Seattle show in Sept?)!
