Thanks for the info. I already asked Luke from Maranello and he told that new is not available. Where did you find the info of the recon unit?
    Thanks very much

I suggest buying one used on eBay. That's about your only option here, unless there's a similar unit for another make of vehicle, like Fiat.

Thanks for advise. There is one in Ebay but without the cables. My mechanic in Chile indicate that is not clear thta will work attaching other cables/plug.

Could not find one that I needed anywhere. I found 2 used ones on eBay so I bought them both. I’m learning with these cars, you NEED to have spares.

What was the symptom on you car ? No phase variation at all of the camshaft ? Partial phase variation ? Any error code ? Was the crankshaft/camshaft relationship stable or noisy while driving ?
Have you tested the valve out of the car ? Is electrical circuit OK ?

I honestly haven't heard much about these failing, definitely not as much as the 430. Interested to know the symptoms. How would you go about testing the solenoid outside of the car?

If I had to test one out of the car, I would :
    - measure the resistance of the coil
    - if OK, connect it to a 12 V battery to check if the plunger is moving. These valves are commanded ON/OFF through a relay. No PWM signal there, so no issue at connecting it to a battery
    - try cleaning it in an ultrasonic bath by switching it ON/OFF every 10 seconds or so

    Hello

My 360 even with changed cam variator solenoid valves (used ones) still makes problems. Does anyone know if it is possible to "lock" valve open on +20 deg. full time, meaning that it dosent return to the normal position when under 3000 rpms..It might sound a bit crazy, but with no valves around we need to do something..I preefer to have more sound if not lambda sensor and emissions dosent casue other problems.

I contacted a company in Germany, who told me that they were working on the problem and that these valves would probably be available from August.
