it's what a NZ newspaper says Marko said honestly I think that's generous to Danny. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/formula-one-liam-lawson-edges-closer-to-fulltime-drive-as-red-bull-puts-pressure-on-daniel-ricciardo/D52TT2MRPRGLPDZXM6KFLUZF2A/
Being sacked mid-season is a normal occurrence inside the Red Bull organisation. Ricciardo has been in the "last chance saloon" for a while now. I guess his career could come to a stop before long.
True. They both ticked the Renault and McLaren boxes though. But I read that potential Ricciardo replacement, Liam Lawson, isn't doing too good in F2 at the moment.
I think I confused him with Bearman then. Put that down to senility. After 3 races, Bearman is 19th in the ranking. His best score is 9th in a race. oh dear !!!
A bit of support for Ricci possibly--- Red Bull boss Christian Horner backed his former driver to get back on track. "He's a big boy, he'll pick himself up, but sometimes the F1 driver can be a bit lonely so a bit of encouragement is never a bad thing," Horner said on Sunday evening. Asked if Ricciardo is squandering the opportunity to return to Red Bull with his current form, Horner replied: "I think it's still very early in the year to even be thinking about next year."
Not in F2 ! Specs series are real indicators of talent, and Bearman isn't doing well there this year.
Neither Yuki or Ricci are moving foward lol. Neither is a step forward over Checo. if Checo is not retained it will be Sainz or someone else. Yuki stays at VCARB and Ricci is moved along. Maybe Lawson arrives or some other driver. My prediction. RedBull need a driver who can win and has won. Who can win if Max is not in the race, yesterday as an example. Marko: Impressive Tsunoda must improve more for Red Bull F1 seat
Horner is Ric's only advocate inside Red Bull it seems. Marko is already getting impatient about ditching him.
Bearman and Martins two mains favorites for this championship are absolutely nowhere after three races in the rankings ( well Bearman didn’t race in Jeddah because of Ferrari ) I’m not sure this new F2 generation’s car is a step forward to find new talents..
Yuki needs to be looking in his mirrors! Maybe this is the replacement for him. Certainly keeps a Japanese driver on the grid if that is contractually needed. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/red-bull-junior-iwasa-to-contest-f1-japan-fp1-for-rb/10591897/ Red Bull junior Iwasa to contest F1 Japan FP1 for RB Red Bull junior and Super Formula driver Ayumu Iwasa is set for his Formula 1 grand prix weekend debut at next week's Japanese Grand Prix, taking over Daniel Ricciardo's RB car for FP1. The RB team is fielding an all-Japanese line-up in first free practice with Iwasa joining regular driver Yuki Tsunoda in the VCARB 01 in their home round. RB has given Iwasa the first of two mandatory rookie FP1 slots for the year, with the 22-year-old among the roster of young driver prospects that also includes reserve driver Liam Lawson and F2 driver Isack Hadjar. “I am very happy to be able to participate in an official F1 session in my home country, and I am excited to be able to take the first step toward the realisation of my dream – winning races and capture the world championship title for many consecutive years in F1, the world’s most prestigious series," Iwasa said. Iwasa made his F1 testing debut at last November's Abu Dhabi young driver test for the team then called AlphaTauri. Team principal Laurent Mekies said he made a good impression at Yas Marina and has since been involved in supporting the race team in the simulator. “He did a great job in the Abu Dhabi test at the end of last year when he drove for us for the first time, Mekies said. "Since then, he has been doing a lot a valuable work in our simulator, including providing live race support.
Tsunoda: Not ranting on radio harder than G-force driving an F1 car RB’s Yuki Tsunoda reckons ‘holding on to his stress’ by not ranting over team radio takes more energy out of him than the G-force endured when driving a Formula 1 car.
