Had this pull up next to me at about 3:00pm Eastern and 215. No plates and a temp tag in the front window. The funny thing was there was no sound from the exhaust... Not even when the light turned green and he hit the gas. I think my work truck sounded better..... It also had gold rims... Image Unavailable, Please Login
From that it looks like a kit. I don't know, but the proportions just don't look right. The fact that it was being powered by a fiero v6 could explain the lack of exhaust note.
I was thinking the same thing. That's why I said "this pulled up next to me" I wish I could have had a better chance to see it up close.
Last night (thursday 3/6) at about 7:30pm, I was in a McDonalds drive-thru that sits out front of a Lucky Grocery store at Craig & MLK, I happened to notice an orange Gallardo parked in the Lucky's lot, about 7-8 spaces from out from the front door!! Clearly this dude is not concerned about door dings or renegade shopping carts! Then today (friday 3/7), I saw an orange Gallardo south bound on I15 just south of Cheyenne (about 12:50pm) I have to believe it was the same car. I drive all over this valley all day, everyday... I almost never see any exotics. It was weird to see what was probably the same car 2 days in a row in totally different areas! BTW, that "F40" is not real... the B-pillar is WAY too wide, and there's no quarter window... dead giveaway. Plus there is no body seam where the rear clip tilts open to expose the engine. The F40 has a quarter glass with fresh air intakes, just like the 348 & 355 have... this car doesnt have that. But from what I can see in the pics, I must admit the rest of the car looks pretty good!
Correct. The whole rear deck lid on a real F-40 opens up and there are clips in the rear to secure it. A real F-40 is quite loud and has a great, very noticeable exhaust note. Definatly a kit.
yes, if it was a real F40, not only would you be able to tell by the sound but you would remember it for the rest of your life!
Yesterday at the detailing place at Ft. Apache and Twain, a blue LP640 getting cleaned. Young-ish owner. I was with friends eating lunch and kept hearing him rev it for the employees; we were joking about it but agreed if we had a Murcielago we'd probably sit and rev it all day too.

Well, there you go! I wondered if it was you, but couldn't remember if your car had dark tinted windows when I saw it before.
Saw a blue Murcie with Lambo OC plates on it at Planet Hollywood valet Saturday night. Orange Gallardo parked at Forum Shops valet on Sunday and a Green Gallardo driving down the Strip on Monday. Also saw 4 RR Phantoms in that same stretch of time. Oddly, did not see a single F-car in Vegas.
