United Hyundai Closes Doors Without Any Warning

Just days into the New Year and the Valley has already suffered a economic blow to an already suffering industry. United Hyundai closed its doors for good. No warning was given and now near 100 people are unemployed.

United = Penske, right? If so, I wonder if this is a sign of things to come.

I've noticed amazingly low inventories at dealers of all major brands-not just GM and Chrysler- so I'm guessing we haven't seen the worst?

United Hyundai is not a PAG dealership according to their website.

I've never thought that. At best I'm thinking 2013-2014 recovery. For now, I'm betting against the economy.

This economy is in major trouble with no signs of recovery. These kind of closures feed upon themselves and cause a domino effect. I just had two customers for classic cars go BK on me and now I am wondering how I can keep my labor costs down without lay offs.
