Never heard this from anyone except from a song......
Never seen this even in an international food store.
Just curious, what is it like? Is it mixed with anything else
    like mayo is used? Garnishing?

Need help from our Downunder counterpart.

    TIA.

It's kind of like a yeasty bouillon cube has been turned into a paste, with a Vitamin B flavor. The Kiwi version of Marmite is decidedly sweeter, amongst other things. Spread it thin either way.

Friend in NZ shipped both in 2001, not knowing I already had some Vegemite in cupboard - I'd procured that at a Mayfair Market in L.A.. What else she sent was pretty special, as Aussie and Kiwi candy bars are quite different than US counterparts, as the inner wafer is the star, with higher quality chocolate on outside. In other shocking developments - Cadbury bars from Down Under are far better than US, as the ingredients forming the actual composition of the chocolate are true to Swiss standards.
