I recently acquired an 8000rpm Veglia chronometric tacho with tell-tale, and it set me to wondering about which Ferraris used chronometric Veglias as opposed to the more common non-chrometric types.
I notice that the tell-tale reset screw is covered by a chromed threaded bezel (see photos), and that this looks just like the bezel on the usual 250GTO tacho.
Can anyone comment on which cars had chronometrics fitted as standard?

For those who aren't familiar with chronometrics, they have a built in watch type escapement which is cleverly combined with a mechanism that takes a direct reading of the drive speed (of rpm or mph/kph) for a measured fraction of a second, and this reading is shown on the dial for typically about 0.75 of a second until the next reading is taken. This results in the typical jerky movement of the needle when the speed changes.
The extra expense was justified by the increased accuracy of the instrument.
You can hear the ticking of the escapement if the instrument is turned by hand, but of course this is always drowned out in the cockpit of the car.

I like that the tell-tale is set at full song!

I was told that this tacho came from 'Mike Hawthorn's mechanic', so it makes for interesting speculation.

Can you tell us Ed which of your Ferraris had chronometrics fitted?

I have seen a 58 TR with a chrono tach. But it was not Veglia. If your tach is from a Ferrari it must be from a GP car or a 50's prototype road racer.
