    Hey All,

I was about to send in my registration fees and a copy of my insurance card and I noticed the following:

    ---------------------------------
    Renewal Fees
    Smog Certificate

    Renew via internet or phone

    Return by mail.
    ---------------------------------

Nowhere does it ask for proof of insurance. Especially if you take the "Renew via internet or phone" route. Has it always been like this and I just never read the notice? Do I not need to mail in a copy of my insurance card?

I renew each year via the internet and I don't recall having to send in proof of insurance.
