Anyone know where I can get a device to put on my company vehicles so that I can keep track of where the vehicles are at any given point in time? Thanks, Jerry.

    Is FChat short for Google?

    This post should have read:

"I am in search of tracking devices for cars and trucks. I have done some homework and found brand XYZ and 123. 123 has more options, but XYZ seems to be fine for my needs. Does anyone have experience with these two brands or may know of a brand or service that I could not find on the web?"

If I was driving something equipped with one of those trackers, I would just drive down the block, stop, get out, and wrap the tracking antenna with some aluminum foil to block the GPS reception. Drive anywhere I want, then remove the foil right before I drove back to the work place. Later I would just shrug my shoulders and say "I guess that tracking thing don't work like it should".

Gee, I'm sorry...if you want the whole story, I DID google it and there were so many hits that I was left wondering which is good and which is not as I know NOTHING about any of these brands or models. Seeing as there are many business owners here on F-Chat, I was hoping to get opinions on which one(s) are the best. I'm sorry my wording did not meet with your approval, oh holy one.

If you want cheap and dirty tracking search "Nextel" "Fleet" "Tracking" or try http://www.accutracking.com/

I was in that business for a short time, still have the domain name fleetinsight.com...catchy right?

I believe Adam Goldman (ASG86TR) deals with fleet tracking via IBM, I'm sure he'd hook ya up..

Thanks a million fellas...I thing one of my guys is f'ing the dog instead of making service calls. If he is, it is my fault for trusting too much and not checking sooner....live and learn.

Jerrari, use Discrete Wireless (www.discretewireless.com). I use them on my trucks.

    inexpensive and very good website.

PM me and I'll be happy to give you the name of my contact person there. He gave me a great deal.

John, thank you very much for the lead (Discreet Wireless). I bought a system from them and it works flawlessly. FYI, I highly recommend them. Jerry.
