Wayne Very Good Work. One point about your piece. With respect to the "big" Ferraris there is another factor at work. The owners of these cars know the potential buyers of these cars and neither one of them need auction houses to find each other. 17.5% on "big" money is a nice amount to split and save between buyer and seller. Best
Jim, thanks, but I think you've just read the September issue! You might have to clear out you cookies. Better yet, try this link: http://www.velostrada.com
Maybe there is a better way to highlight it on the page, rather than just by a sticky in the top of the General Discussion section. How about a flashy icon up top, banner size, perhaps, so it doesn't interfere with the sponsor box, allowing you to click into the home page and retrieve the current issue and archived ones? It's very nicely done, by the way. I also see that there is a small, 'tool' type hyperlink to the Ferrariads section. Perhaps, in the Magazine home page, you'd want to do another icon/box to highlight the ads. Finally, can the magazine be 'supported' other than at F-Chat? I mean, is there a way that a Ferrari online magazine could stand on its own, with appropriate links to F-Chat? Part of the problem may simply be that this is largely a destination for 'chatting' and that's the focus.
The page is too large for my screen so I have to scroll to the sides to read the text. Anyone know how to correct this?
If you're using Internet Explorer, try clicking on "View" at the top of your screen, then click "Text Size" and try something smaller. If this doesn't work for you, let me know. Thanks. Edit: On second thought, this might not do a whole lot to improve your situation. What size monitor are you using?
He states that the bottom end for a 355 is $50k. As he described, this would be a 1995 355B with over 30,000 miles. I cannot recall ever seeing an asking price even close to $50k, more like $60k minimum or more. Even salvage title Euro cars w/o records have asking prices that start with a 6. Are they really getting that inexpensive?
As always, yet another superb issue! I look forward to reading Velostrada each time. IMO, the articles are always timely, informative, and well-written. Keep up the great work Wayne and all that contribute -- I think that the e-zine is really progressing rapidly into something great. Are there any plans for a print edition in the future, something along the lines of Cavallino, Pilota, or Forza?
Wayne. I have a 15 inch Dell flatscreen monitor. The page is cut off right at the "subscription" tab at the top.
Wayne. Must be something wrong with my home computer. At the office the whole page is on the screen as it is supposed to be.
Russ, if even the test page is being cut off, you're right that your monitor settings at home might be off.
NO !!! You would be Extremely fortunate to find a Well Maintained "High Mileage", good colors for > low $60s.I don't consider 30,000 miles for a 10 year old F-Car to be High Mileage.
There is a 77k mile 95B red/tan for sale in the dupont this month, asking is $52k. Don't know the guy, haven't spoken with him, but saw it the other day and thought "at least someone drove it!"...claims all services are up to date - must run ok to get that many miles on it.
