Looks like this scumbag thief and crook is still at it. New arrivals, or should I say new victims. Arrivals. He is still running the company hiding in the background. BTW the CPS are charging him with theft for stealing from another customer and the crook is due in the Crown Court in December.

Having seen the youtube videos of the sheriff going in - you have to wonder which owner in their right mind would take their car there?

They must be utter morons to give their cars to this crook. One thing he is good at is lying through his teeth in order to get what he wants. However the police and the CPS have finally prosecuted him. He was arrested then released on bail. He will be at the CROWN COURT in early Feb for his trial. Again he has STOLEN from a customer. Its over for him. He likes to hide from his victims like a little coward. He does not have the balls to see them face to face because he is afraid of what will happen.

Just as a warning, many have told me Verdi has started up again.
He is the main man at GVE LONDON, with the guys there just being his front.

Wouldn't want anyone to lose money like I did again.

My information is a bit different. Yes Karl (and his son) are working there, they have a small maintenance bay, but he is certainly not the man behind GVE, that is David Rai. I am told that Karl has no involvement in the financial side.

I've met David Rai on a couple of occasions at Sy's events driving some very nice cars. I too understood it to be his business.

I've alerted David Rai to this thread and hopefully he will post giving the whole story. I would hate for a possibly misinformed post to wreck a growing business.

I note you just joined and this is your first post, which I believe is totally inaccurate. Speaks volumes.

BTW - I have no affiliation with GVE other than having been given an invite to an open day which I couldn't attend.

I think we need to establish if the Verdi boys are involved in any way with GVE. Even if they only work in the workshop, it's just not very smart is it? For a new business in a tight environment and the grasp of the internet, to hire them (or have them involved in any way) is business suicide IMO.

The financials that John has posted show that BVE was founded in 2009, so not exactly a new business and predating by 2 years the start of this thread.

    Hello,

I was alerted to this thread by a very kind gentleman by the name of Francis Newman and as he quite rightly suggested I felt the need to set the record straight.

I set this business up in 2009 by myself. Today I run this business by myself. I am 100% shareholder of GVE London. In that time my company has turned over more than £60 million. If anyone would like verification of those facts please apply to see my audited accounts, I must emphasise that point, audit.

Last year I agreed a deal to open one of the largest independent indoor luxury car dealerships in the UK with the ability to stock up to 70 cars. Naturally it made sense to also open a service centre because of the obvious synergies. The first person I asked for advice was a childhood school friend, Kabir Verdi. Kabir at this point suggested the idea to run the GVE Service centre for me with the assistance of his longstanding technicians and with the technical assistance from his father.

This service centre has been running for 6 months now and may I add, has served many happy clients and has been fully booked since day one. Currently we have approximately 20 cars in to be serviced including a Miura SV sitting alongside a 458, 512 TR and 550 just to name a few.

I was not best pleased to see fabricated facts being thrown around about this matter. The past events have absolutely nothing to do with GVE and our relationship with Kabir Verdi. I would now strongly suggest that anybody wanting to post about GVE and the GVE Service Centre should ensure that their facts are 100% correct before doing so. In the event that more lies are posted we will seek legal advice.

On a more positive note, I would welcome any of the ferrari chat members to the GVE showroom as we did with Nigel Chiltern-Hunt and the Ferrari Owners club for the past two years at our open day.

    Many thanks,

David Rai (MD of GVE London Ltd)

I have visited GVE and it's a very nice facility.

However, we must also remember that someone's past does not just vaporise, and by associating with an entity or individual who has a proven negative energy, it will always reflect poorly on those who choose to associate with them.
This why corporations are so careful with their brand positioning and spend fortunes on due diligence.

Best way with first posts on forums is always to introduce yourself in a friendly manner, threat's of legal action seem a little unnecessary!

    Welcome David

I’ve been watching your business activity and stock lists with interest and must say I’ve been impressed but, as Mike RSR comments, threatening the possibility of legal action - and straight off the bat – could be considered poor play. Did you realise this is the UK forum of a Ferrari/top brand car owner and aficionado global forum (i.e.: a potential GVE London customer base)?

As to who we consider our friends and associates, and as SimCity3 commented, you’ve chosen to connect with a name that seems to accompany a very distasteful aroma amongst the Ferrari community – be this fair or unfair it appears to be the case. As you say, past events can have nothing to do with GVE London but associations can make or break a business. Would you for example hire Gerald Ratner as your Head of Communications? You might need to grow a thicker skin and get used to the association.

Anyway, good luck with your business. Out of interest, I personally would consider buying a car from you but regarding having my TR, or any of my other cars, looked after by your service centre - “I’m out, and won’t be investing” as the saying goes. Sadly, I just wouldn’t feel comfortable.

Perhaps a charm offensive by way of a personally invited meet-and-greet at your businesses might help - just a thought.

To be fair - I thought David pretty much did that in welcoming any Fchat members to visit, and he has gone out of his way with various hospitable open days.

Karl Verdi may be many things, but as a Ferrari technician he does have a lot of expertise and I suspect that a lot of that has rubbed off onto Kabir.

Do I entrust my car to him. Well no, I use QV. Would I? Well if push came to shove then probably yes.

Let's not forget that some people lost a lot money to Verdi and I sure they would not go within miles of this place now it is known that he works there. If I ran a bank I certainly would not seek to employ a thief no matter how good he was at cashing up!

Sorry, but I think this guy has made a fundamental mistake in associating his business with someone whom so many people in the Ferrari community regard as a complete crook.

    H Guys,

Just a follow up to my initial message.

MikeRSR and AMG Merc, point taken on the legal comment I made. It wasn't directed at the real users of this forum but directed at the first time poster "Maserati3200" who has no real intention of using this forum for his love of Ferrari's but rather to discredit my business. The majority of Ferrari owners in some shape or form have owned a business at some time, so I'm sure you'd agree that we treat our businesses almost like our children. If a stranger was to tell the world that child is not yours, I'm sure you'd have something to say. ;-) If any FC user wants to learn more about my business by all means, ask and I will gladly tell.

As for the Service Centre and who I've associated myself to. Kabir is a genuine and honest guy and is 100% focused to making this service centre a success. He shares my belief that great customer service and a high quality of work is paramount.

AMG Merc, I appreciate your comments, as Francis mentioned I do love an open day so it would be great to potentially organise something before the season finishes. Great to hear that you'd consider buying a car from GVE, with the servicing side hopefully over time I can make you feel comfortable in using us but I appreciate it won’t be right away.

    Cheers,

    David

P.s. I just watched the Gerald Ratner speech for the first time, what an honest guy! lol

So just for clarity - Your entire service centre staff are all of the ex-Verdi staff, it is being run by Kabir Verdi, and it is being given technical support from Karl Verdi?

If that is the case then it's easy to see why Maserati3200 posted that he believes Verdi are now trading under the GVE banner.

Based on your response to Maserati3200's post, can you confirm that all of the ex-Verdi staff (including Kabir Verdi and Karl Verdi), are now employed by GVE London Ltd, and are not running the servicing business on a sub-contract basis?

I can appreciate that you wouldn't do anything to jeopardise your own business, and I can see the sense in making use of the specialist service team that was instantly available, but by the same token, you must understand that there a several Ferrari owners who lost out big time with the whole Verdi debacle, and they have genuine concerns knowing that the people at the centre of that debacle are still working in the Ferrari specialist business.
