    Here's the situation. My dad is 65. He needs a simple cell phone. He does a lot of texting so the phone needs to be easy to use when it comes to texting. He NEVER uses the phone for the internet. His service provider is Verizon. Recommendations would be grateful. I'm a BB user with ATT so I'm not much help.

    I can't recommend a phone in general, but I think one of the cheapest phones with a slide out qwerty would be perfect for him.

    The LG Cosmos or the Samsung Intensity are good texting phones from Verizon. I would pick the Cosmos.
