Anybody have this? I am having the fiber optic lines installed at my house this afternoon for 15Mips service. No more dial-up FChat for me.

I've got Fios in Southlake as well. It's much faster than my DSL was, but as on the other thread - installation was annoying. I had to have them come out a few times to finish it up.

They are also starting to offer Fios TV - Keller has it already, should be moving to the rest of the area soon. I've got the channel lineup and pricing if anyone is interested - they don't have much info out in the public it seems.

I have it in Carrollton. I didn't have any of the install issues that I've heard from others, though. My service is great. Fewer outages than I had with the DSL, and the speed is very consistent. Got it when I was working from home, and had VoIP phone and fax lines running with no problems. For the extra $5-10 / month over DSL, and the potential for future services (TV, etc.), I think it's well worth it.

I have it in Southlake too. No problems from the git go other than the occasional outage. Much more relaibale and faster than Charter Cable, the only alternative to slow DSL in this area.

SO LONG DIAL-UP. The installation went smooth and I am now out of the dark ages.

Now that I have it, I love it. However, I was one of the first customers in Southlake and you wouldn't believe the problems I went through...

    torn up yard
    2 month install period
    broken water pipe
    accidental hole through BR wall
    double billing
hours and hours and dozens of calls on hold

Once installed, once the marsh in front yard fixed, and hole still isn't fixed I LOVE IT!!!

I was going to get it, but I heard they block inbound email and web server ports. Can anyone confirm that? I run a server on my dsl line
