So they will be more than a grand each. Some MR models are already at that price so these Versus models will burn a deep hole in your pocket. Don't get me wrong they are awesome models for the ones who can afford them.

Again not in this economy. Agreed, these models are awesome looking but anyone can put an outrageous price on something but model builders need to be more in line with prices if they want collectors to buy them. Over a $1000 for each copy.... I don't think so, and I have over thirty resin 1:18 Ferraris... I will not consider them until the prices come down or I'll just pass on them all together....

I call BS on these. They are all based on the Mattel models (even says so) and the resin kits that used to be available are no different. I built some of them and I have seen both the versus and APM and I can honestly say that my end results were definitely better than APM and at least as good as Versus.

APM have been selling the transkits on e-bay for quite some time. basically it is the ground effects plus wheels that you add to your donor model.
A lot of the APM Ferraris are actually inaccurate to some degree.

All of these are repainted Mattel models with some resin details added on. The kits with the details go for about $50-$80. So they charge close to a $1000 to repaint your Hotwheels and mount them on a plinth.

Here is a Hamann I made with their kit plus some mods

This is plain stupid! BLACK miracle in White LOL. Black miracle was made in black with red orange or yellow stripes and ground effects, but I have never heard of a "white miracle".
Those bogus LE practices are starting to really make no sense and I find them aggravating as hell.
No matter what they call it, it is still a Mattel repaint with few extra parts. Custom jobs are cool, but not like that at these prices. Anyone wants a Black Miracle I'll be happy to make them one at half that price, guaranteed in edition no bigger than 13, with choice of seats.

These APM models or Versus 1:18 die-cast does the wheels rotate and turn? What about the doors, hood, and trunk do they open?
They are very well made indeed probably handmade, but for $1000 a piece is way too expensive. For me to start collecting these models I have to make at least $20,000 a month net or more full time plus a part time job on the side that makes $2000 a month net or more.

Unusual43 quote these for 1200-1500USD each...

in past, a Versus built models is usually 700-800USD.. now is double...

And the worst, Versus has copied APM transkits to make these models.... which makes the Versus can earn more $ on his paint job... no matter why APM is not selling kits anymore... the lose was other customers have no choice to build themselves...

I don't bias on your comment, but with little resources to develop small amount of models other than those big brand like MR, BBR... I think APM has already done a good job...

Well, APM will make their resin version in mid 2011... I rather wait for them... probably buying 1 from Versus, can buy 2-2.5 from APM... unless you want to make one with every details in your own color choices....

I thing you are wrong. APM and Versus colaboratd in the past years, but then APM copied Versus transkits and Versus stopped the colaboration in 2010.

Original factory built models of APM are made in China and also when they cost less than a Versus model, APM is much too expensive for a China product. Versus has decided in 2010 to stop selling kits to point out low quality models on the market with their name. Versus is only available as original factory built models. They are made in Japan (one of the most expensive production places for handbuilt models worldwide) and in very low quantities, mostly not more than 50-100 pieces over all color variations. They are absolutely flawless with real PPG painting. By the way, I buy them form the European sole agent in Germany for approx. 720 EUR / 990 USD (https://modell-paradies.de/de/catalog/preorders/manufacture/VERSUS).

Sorry, when my English isn't perfect.

Versus doesn't make only customized Mattel Elite models. Here is terrific example of a fantastic handbuilt model made in resin, as ususally without operating doors and hoods. The Matt Fuji White (original PPG) is a limited editon of just 100 pcs. and the Tristato Yellow (Metallic) is a limited edition of only 4 pcs.. They come on leather base with acrylic display case.
