heh, that's nothing. They have an F50 over here with 40,000+ miles on it, used as a daily driver!

When i was there last year, the nickname for that F50 was the F50k, because it had at least or over 50,000 miles on it - that is one happy car... :)

Anyway, i call bullsh!t on this auction for several reasons:

    1. The wording in the description resembles that of a 4th grader.

    2. Seller lists car as an automatic - c'mon, let's be serious, now...

    3. No VIN is listed, although the picture of the serial number is just visible enough that i could look it up and, although the mileage and other details about the car seem to be correct, they also point me to more information:

    4. This car was for sale in The Ferrari Market Letter, back in August, in Alabama, by someone whose first, middle and last names are not Wayne. Sure, this car could be on consignment and Florida's not that far from Alabama, but it just seems fishy to me... Also, when the car was for sale in The Ferrari Market Letter, it was for sale at $639,000 - 87 miles cut almost 200k from the price...? i think not... Buyer beware...

well, the seller might've realized he can't quite get $700K for the car.
he probably knows people looking for a F50 are looking for a lower milage car, for less than $700K

add this to the fact that the CGT has just been released and can easily be had for MSRP, might have something to do with it

Hey, anything's possible... Someone ask him for the whole VIN and the assembly number and the motor number and i'll believe it... :)

Dude, if you can sell all your furniture and come even remotely close to buying an F50, you're not prioritizing... :)

If I see it clearly in the pics, the s/n is 103097. Far too high to be the first one produced. Very early F50's had s/n in the 99xxx to 100xxx series.
About the yellow stripe, anyone could have put that on...
But, at least this one gets driven instead of stalled!

S/n 103097 is the very first production F50 (001/349). I've seen this car a couple of years ago here in Belgium. And I've also seen pics of this car at the Fiorano-track being overhanded by Luca di Montezemolo to the first owner.

why dont you just call and ask him. Guy even posted his number. Think that will be the quickest way to determine if its the real deal holyfield.

No my friend, not everybody put the yellow stripe.
On this very special n°1, the factory did it....for the very special client 'Jean Blaton', famous Belgian racer known as 'BEURLYS', (the driver with most participations ever on FERRARI in Le Mans), he is part of history......that's why it was not a problem for Ferrari to give him the VERY FIRST F50 with sn ZFFTA46800103097 - 001/349

Okay, it makes sense that the yellow stripe remember the yellow racing color of Belgium. That is clear then. But, about the s/n, has Ferrari numbered the cars 1 up and including 349 in a non-chronological way?? I am asking this, because there is an F50 with the s/n 99999 (more than 1 in fact...).

S/N 103097. 1st F50. Previously Jean "Beurlys" Blaton then Jacques Swaters then ? in Palm Beach. Previous plate is PLH - 543

06/04 - For sale in Palm Beach, Florida for $695,000

This is the 1st F50 of the 349 prod. run. There are more, but those are special or prototypes and don't count towards the 349.

So? They were prototypes and various show cars. There is 98170 and possibly 6 (at least 4) with 99999.

This is the first car of the 349. IE 1/349!
