I purchased my "new to me" 04 360 Spider last summer and migrated, without the car, to Florida for the winter. Back now and it's cool and I could not get any significant heat into the cabin. Dash temperature seemed low at an estimated 160 degree F. I will attempt to attach dash image. Just looking for some guidance if this is normal or if I have a problem I should address. Your concern is with how the climate control is behaving yea? You sure you have it all configured correctly? Maybe send a picture of the dials & buttons.

This is on my list but I haven't gotten to it yet. From my research the TGK valve near the brake fluid reservoir is a possible culprit and it can be tested with a 9v battery. Also make sure the stop button isn't lit as it's a bit unintuitive how the HVAC works.

Here is a test ...idle for a while and see if gauge goes up to about 180's ..then take it on road and see if it falls to 160's .. if so you need a new thermostat

The 360 uses a circulation pump to move hot coolant into the heater core. If that pump isn't working, only a small fraction of the hot coolant will circulate.

The motor turns on with the car off so if you turn the ignition key to on, then switch the heat on, you should hear the circulation pump kick in. No noise, no pump. Problem located.

If you do hear a noise from the pump, it's likely the valve isn't opening enough or is stuck partially open.

The heater in the 360 is remarkably efficient and can put out a lot of heat. It also can help cool the system if your radiator fans aren't coming on properly.

New owners who fail to get a warm cabin often have the climate control button in the wrong position - the book and the switch are very unclear as to which is on and which is off - you need climate ON to get heating or cooling

I have a similar issue but I think mine is a stuck mixing valve or something. If I play around with the recirc button and swing the them dial back and forth it tends to kick on.

Note: To get heat the AC Compressor must be available to run via PB#9

Thanks to everyone that commented! I was worried the coolant was not getting hot enough, but I think the real problem was my not completely understanding the climate control system. With the STOP button out I am getting heat.

That's good news. FWIW, when i had a similar problem, it was because I did not bleed the cooling system adequately. I've since added a vacuum coolant filler to my tool collection.
