The cars shown are very very nice! Great details, manufacturing pictures, and history.

The love care, and passion that goes into putting each and every one of these beautiful machines together!

What’s the difference between the chassis number, built number and engine number requested by the site in order to register a car? Where are these found? The only number I pay any attention to is the VIN…

Chassis number: the last five digits of the 17 position VIN. My '89 328 GTB is ZFFWA19B000081085, i.e its chassis number is "81085"
Engine number: you'll find it on a plate in the center of the "Vee" formed by the two heads, at right (when looking the engine bay form behind) between the two rightmost admission pipes (see pic enclosed: the engine number of #81085 is "17330" (it is its original engine) barely readable in the center of the pic.
Its transmission is 3170F106MB (original gear box, readable under the gearbox, passenger side, just before the exhaust protection plate, at the top of the enclosed pic) F106MB means "euro" transmission and gears; american 328s have F108 trans.
Body number is "08", readable on the side of the upper right chassis bar in the engine bay, beneath the oil cooler, and in many different other places and parts such as the engine hood, front hood, etc...
Our cars sport numbers in quite a number of plates, so the factory can easily assess if they are still original.

Bruno I think you made a little mistake with the number.
The picture show gearbox F106MB3710 no 3170 and this should come from your other 328 ....

Of course you're right, Bertrand. My mistake: 3710F106MB is from my february '89 GTS (chassis #80515)
GTB #81085 has gearbox 3916F106MB. See pic hereenclosed.
Like so many times before, I typed too fast...sorry.
