Pretty interior although steering wheel is a bit much ... black perhaps.

Here is a great nod from a Spanish auto website giving credit to the Mondial for the iconic "Cheesegraters" on the Testatrossa.

A fact that has gone unnoticed for decades is that the brand already had an almost identical element in a model before the Testarossa, the air intakes of the Ferrari Mondial 8 of 1980

The first model of the Mondial saga of production was manufactured from 1980 to 1982 and already had almost identical lateral air intakes , only on a smaller scale. These had a shorter base and the vertical area was somewhat more inclined, and only had 4 parallel horizontal slats as a grid, instead of 5 Testarossa. The design team of Pininfarina took this same form and enlarged it , extending it all over the side.

The similarities between both pieces are evident.

That's the photo, the interior including wheel is actually red not pink; it looks like the factory red you get on interiors, but I couldn't be sure. It has been retrimmed, I'm pretty sure.

Yes I'm not sure about the wheel, but the seats looked great.

Front seats look like Daytona style. Not factory AFAIK.

Normally I would like red and tan, but something just seems a little off. May be the shades of red don't go with the tan? May be the wheel?

In any event, glad to see someone enjoying their Mondial !!

    Regards,
    Jerry

The interior red colour is a bit odd, and would probably work better with eg. a white or dark grey exterior, but the quality of the retrim looks really well done. The Daytona seats were never an option, but look really nice, with what I think is red stitching contrasts on the tan leather. With the red exterior, I would have the interior tan, with black carpets and dash/door tops/steering wheel with black Daytona seat stripes as my choice. But I salute anyone who personalizes their car to whatever suits their desire, and always respect the quality of workmanship.

WIth those custom Daytona seats I think the top of the dash should be black, the lower dash beige, and the carpets red.

To each his own, but this car doesn't do it for me. The Daytona style seat doesn't really work IMO as the seats in the Mondial are too narrow. Now, to be extremely critical, the outside portion of the seat bottom looks overly stuffed, causing the leather to stretch from the center.

If I had to have this color red, I'd have it all be red leather with a black dash, black wheel and black carpets for some contrast.
