Very nice and expensive model looking model. By the way, I wonder why Tecnomodel always makes their wheels to large in diameter. They ruin otherwise great looking models. That 365P looks like it is running on to scale 19 inch wheels.
Did he buy a real one? nope 1:43 by Jacques Brauer built in 1991 based on amr Its amazing! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hans, do you keep these models displayed with the open parts? or would that be too harsh on the hinges?
all are displayed open, so you can see the craftmanship. If you close a brauer, the panellines are like a curbside model Hans
Thanks guys for posting up these great models. We are living in a great period of model building. The artisans are still making their great limited production product and it is better than ever. And we can buy really high quality, if a little too perfect versions from the factory brands for a more affordable price. We can have both! The only thing we don't have these days are kits in 1/43 scale of Ferrari product. There seems to be less of that today than there was in the past. -F
I have a box of +/- 40-50 kits amr, le Phoenix, modelart, piranha, feeling43, esprit43, Minerva, CMA, bbr etc etc. every year a few are getting built Modelart111 still makes very good whitemetal kits. Fred Suber is active with the Minerva range. and ebay is your friend ;-) Last month I bought a batch of 6 le Phoenix from an american collector on ebay. madeforspeed is the username of Michael Gregg, author of the AMR book.
Oh I know old stock is out there. They're just not being produced like they used to be. As far as I know, AMR, MR Collection, nor BBR produce kits anymore. But good point on the others (Minerva, CMA, feeling43). -F
Anybody willing to part with a BBR Lusso 1/43? Having pretty poor luck over the last year+ Figure I might as well bug you all.

Hans, your collection of super detailed 1:43rd models is stunning, especially all of the Brauer models.
Thank you Marshall! Try to collect pieces from the most talented builders there are, Your 1:24 P4 spider is another great piece!
Lolo, i just looked at the model in the back and failed to see the air intake over the rear wheel on the 250 mm..thanks hans...tjose are 2 of my favourite Ferraris....hope someday i can get one of them in 1/18 scale..i know mg/atelier model cars have the 250mm..but too expensive for me....
Pedro, its all about choices ;-) One cannot have everything Sold +/- 250 bbr, mr, rgm etc etc, once I had gthe chance to buy several of these from another collector. Never regretted, one of these beats 20 bbr's
Pedro, I completely agree with Hans. I have also sold off a number of pieces, nowhere near as many as Hans, but I am trying to be very selective, and going for quality vs. quantity.
The brauers are rarer than the real deal Its easier buying a 1:1 Lusso than a brauer.. (if you have the funds).. lol
Hans, at the rate you're going, one of these days you'll be able to sell your collection and get a real Lusso!! ....although you probably wouldn't trade one for the other. I agree with you both, i've been selling lot's of models in order to buy the ones i really want (and it's been a good deal..i bought some Kyosho's and Elite's for about 50€...now selling for 100 to 150€ adding more 50 i'm buying BBrs, looksmarts and Tecnomodel's sports cars (wich is what i really like)....i also got a very good price on the Cmcs and Gmps i bought, so now, i already have most models i want...when i have al i have palnned, then i will concentrate on the rarer and more expensive ones....Truth is i now have fewer models then 1 year ago...but i like them much better!!
Maybe this should go in the trades thread jk but I would infact trade all my collection and other things including my soul for a real Lusso. Nice pictures guys, keep em coming! I definitely appreciate the custom builders as the fine details and what goes into the construction is just as interesting to me as the finished products, but at my current stage in life I'm still n a BBR budget for now.
