The two wheeled versions... Anyone else have some in the Garage? Me and my wife own the red duo in the background center of this pic taken in Pasadena a block from our old apartment, when we setup a ride around through the Arroyo. Great fun! They are 2006 LX 150s, matching red/tan.

I went into the Vespa dealership in Tacoma to have a look-see. The scooters looked nice, but:

No brochures available at all. "We don't have any. People would just take them and throw them away. Look online."

No price tags on the various scooters. "Look online".

No test rides, even for serious customers who would pay cash.

Salesperson was friendly, but their policies suck. They think they have you by the yarbles.

Cute kid and cute scooter, Jason!

Bought one for the wife a few years ago, she rode it once. It is the big Vespa, Schedoni leather seat, that pale metallic green, no warts. Ready to sell it to the right buyer- it currently resides in my heated garage, and I have ridden it on occasion, but not enough to justify keeping it. (It might have 120 miles on it, if that).

Scooter is fully restored, and is slower than snot. They didnt make them like they do today. 150cc does not go very far.

Depends on the model. early 60's GS 150 fully restored can be $6500 to $7500.
VBB VBC and more common models can be found for $4000 to $4500.

If you want to do your own resto work they can be found in barns, generally in very poor shape, but for little money. For the amount of time that it takes and all of the parts sourcing, it is better to buy a restored one. They purchase them clapped out in Europe, restore them in Vietnam, and sell them in the US.

We bought our '06s new at about $4500 each. Great stuff, we love it. Topped it out at about 85 one morning running late for work :) not recommended but ... it can be done!

Ive got an unrestored 1960 GS 150. All original cowels and engine. That project will be started in the near future.
I bought it from a guy who was hauling two (at the time) for $150 in 1985. My buddy got the other one.

You got a good deal on a great scoot. You also have a fun project.....time invested will be about $0.25 per hour though!
